As a Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. This role is a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world, joining a fast-paced work environment that encourages teamwork, quality, and offers opportunities for personal growth. Extensive training is provided for this role, making it suitable for individuals with prior lab experience or those new to the field. This is a full-time position with excellent day-one benefits. You can expect to work in either the Sample Management Department, where you will sort, tag, and prepare samples for testing, or the Parasitology Department, where you will prepare fecal samples for analyzers and use other techniques to identify ova or parasites. You will use automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. This involves performing diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples, setting up and running lab tests, and then reading and releasing results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
