About The Position
The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Laboratory Technician to work at our Picatinny Arsenal, NJ site. The Senior Laboratory Technician will support research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) activities on US Army programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 2-4 years of relevant experience in an R&D laboratory setting.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance after being hired.
- Familiarity with the operation of scientific laboratory equipment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of energetics and/or additive manufacturing a plus.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the execution of studies that include synthesis, scale-up, and formulation of energetic materials for various applications
- Support a broad range of studies in support of development of new energetic materials and formulations for additive manufacturing applications
- Responsible for experimental equipment maintenance, setup and takedown
- Conduct analysis and testing as directed
- Collect analytical and test data and prepare reports.
