About The Position

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Emeryville, CA location. This position is full-time with a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm shift and possible overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Some college chemistry, biology, or geology
Previous production-oriented, or food service work helpful (awareness, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and meet deadlines)
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
Regular attendance and punctuality
Greets and assists laboratory clientele
Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs.
Preparation of samples using standard techniques
Receiving and logging in samples using a LIMS system
Assisting with Environmental Health and Safety and Quality Assurance duties
Recording and reporting any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
Performing routine maintenance
Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and Quality assurance standards
Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Performs other duties as assigned
