About The Position

Höganäs in North America is seeking a Laboratory Technician to work at our Johnstown, PA plant. This position provides analyses and sets up materials according to specifications and maintains records according to the management system requirements and NAH quality system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintains, operates, and calibrates lab equipment as required. Communicates results of analyses. Coordinates testing with production, outside laboratories, and others as needed. May operate high speed, heavy saws, presses, and other equipment during destructive and nondestructive testing. Retains samples. Develops work instructions and forms maintaining documentation. Assists with development and implementation of new test methods. Maintains a safe working environment for themselves and others. Actively exhibits leadership capabilities in all aspects of their work. Displays conscious awareness of what is required to ensure a sustainable Höganäs.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree or a minimum of one year related experience and training.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
