This is a full-time night shift position working on a consistent 7:00 pm - 7:00 am rotating schedule. The role provides support to the Laboratory department by performing and coordinating a variety of laboratory processes. This includes registering and preparing samples for general analytical testing, preparing and performing routine to complex analyses, and operating basic laboratory equipment. The position also involves gathering and analyzing information from the Inventory Management System to identify products needing to be placed on hold, preparing standards and reagents, and maintaining equipment and lab areas. A key function is data generation, recording, calculation, and entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), along with conducting preliminary interpretations of data and drafting reports for Quality Assurance Leadership. The role requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assisting with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) documents, and performing chemistry, physical, and microbiology sample preparation and testing. The ability to move quickly between tasks and manage time efficiently is important. Additional duties include troubleshooting issues with management, understanding and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). The position requires the ability to work with dairy and nut products, as well as other related ingredients and allergens. Safety is paramount, requiring the stopping of unsafe acts, obeying safety rules, and correcting or reporting hazards.
