About The Position

The Nelson Lau lab in the Dept of Biochemistry at the Boston University School of Medicine is looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree. Our group studies basic gene regulation mechanisms by small RNAs and the RNA interference pathway in model organisms. Specifically, we are interested in dissecting the molecular mechanisms of RNAi in the control of viruses and transposons during animal aging and brain function. The candidate will work on NIH grant support investigations into how transposons mobilize and become expressed in model organism cells, like Drosophila, mouse and mosquito cells.
