About The Position

Element Calgary has an opportunity for a Microbiology Technician whose primary responsibility is to support laboratory operations by conducting the relevant microbiological testing. This role provides essential microbiological analytical laboratory services for food and beverage manufacturers, private sectors, commodity exporters companies, and the food industry in line with Element's standards. The technician will maintain accurate records of all performed procedures to assist in the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the laboratory. Additionally, they will maintain good laboratory housekeeping and ensure Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards are adhered to. The role involves performing all analytical testing for samples, recording, and updating results in LIMS.

Requirements

• Graduation in microbiology / equivalent
• 1-2 year relevant experience
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities
