About The Position
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine laboratory operations in a microbiology laboratory. Duties usually consist of setting samples for microbial testing, making dilutions of food and environmental samples, and setting samples for pathogens testing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.
Responsibilities
- Performs laboratory work according to prescribed standards.
- Determines microbial loads in food and environmental samples.
- Sets up and operates laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Analyzes samples.
- Performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards.
- Tests samples to verify conformity to specifications.
- Records test results.
- Cleans laboratory equipment.
