Conduct required laboratory testing following SGS's Standard Operating Procedures. Perform Sample Preparation. Perform and record preventive maintenance as needed. Adhere to proper labelling and documentation procedures for solvents, standards, reagents, etc. Familiarize with applicable standard operation procedures (SOP). Participate in proficiency testing programs and support quality by assisting supervisor / manager in investigating questionable and unsatisfactory results. Print control charts; maintain reagent logs, standards inventory, etc. documents. Adhere to the Company’s Quality Policy and Procedures. Be aware of customer requirements. Directly responsible for their area housekeeping and cleanliness on a daily basis. Data entry into LIMS, Excel, and other data entry modules. Adhere to the Company’s Quality Policy and Procedures. Use Laboratory Management Systems (LIMS). Adhere to company health and safety policies. Provide accurate and timely results. Conduct proper sample storage and disposal practices and documentation. Liaise and resolve customer’s queries/results with the supervisor / manager and contribute to the resolution of customer complaints. Validate new methods for business growth or for customer requests, and work on improving the efficiency of existing methods and SOPs as per the instructions provided by the supervisor / manager. Conduct sample pre-processing (sub sampling, homogenization, splitting, cleaning, grinding) as necessary.
