About The Position
Assists the Clinical Lab Scientist in the performance of laboratory testing, including operation and troubleshooting of various Laboratory analyzers in Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology. Processes and distributes specimens for testing and sendout referral to reference labs.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year previous venipuncture experience in an acute hospital or healthcare field in related work.
- State-approved phlebotomy certificate.
- Able to operate and troubleshoot various automated Laboratory analyzers in Chemistry, Hematology, Special Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Microbiology.
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job as noted in the job description.
Nice To Haves
- One (1) year previous experience as a laboratory technician in an acute hospital.
