About The Position

The Laboratory Technician II executes assigned microbiological or chemistry testing in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques, approved procedures, and Customer specifications. Testing may be performed in a cleanroom. The role also supports customer-specific method preparation, method and Standard Operating Procedure development and review, and inventory maintenance.

Requirements

At least 4 years of laboratory experience with a high school diploma or equivalent, or no experience with an Associate's Degree.
Knowledge of microbes such as bacteria, mold, and yeast, or knowledge of chemical assays and equipment.
Knowledge of standard aseptic techniques and/or common laboratory equipment use.
Ability to prepare technical documents.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
At least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to remain controlled in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures, and instructions.
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and dilution schemes.
Ability to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute laboratory tests, including Bioburden, Sterility, LAL Endotoxin, Microbial Limits, Anti-Microbial Effectiveness, Organism Identification, EO Residual, cleaning qualifications, and test method validations, in compliance with regulations and procedures.
Create or edit Customer-specific preparatory methods for approval.
Participate in the development and review of methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain inventory for a specified area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
