About The Position

The Laboratory Technician II is responsible for executing assigned microbiological or chemistry testing in accordance with regulated laboratory testing techniques, approved procedures and Customer specifications. Testing may be performed in a cleanroom.

Requirements

Minimum 4 years experience in a Laboratory with a HS Diploma or equivalent, or no experience with an Associate's Degree
Knowledge of microbes such as bacteria, mold and yeast; or knowledge of chemical assays and equipment.
Knowledge of standard aseptic techniques and/or common laboratory equipment use.
Ability to perform technical document preparation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum Intermediate level on Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change.
Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions.
Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals and dilution schemes.
Ability to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs.
Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

Prepares and executes Laboratory tests (eg. Bioburden, Sterility, LAL Endotoxin, Microbial Limits, Anti-Microbial Effectiveness, Organism Identification, EO Residual, cleaning qualifications, and test method validations) in compliance with regulations and procedures.
Creates/ edits Customer specific preparatory methods for approval.
Participates in the development, and review of methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintains inventory for specified area
Other Duties as Assigned
