About The Position

The Laboratory Technician I is responsible for completing sample preparation service activities including but not limited to normalized and volumetric aliquots, DNA/RNA purification, DNA/RNA quantifications, PBMC processing, whole blood fractionation, and other client specific procedures. The Laboratory Technician is accountable for performing and documenting all activities as prescribed in the corresponding SOPs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree with 1+ year relevant professional lab experience OR HSD with 4+ years relevant experience
  • Experience in a regulated laboratory environment preferred
  • Must be able to work as a team as well as independently
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of GxP requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform all functions methodically and in accordance with SOPs.
  • Independently operate laboratory equipment including but not limited to pipettes, automated liquid handlers, spectrophotometers, and centrifuges.
  • Process and store biological samples per established protocols.
  • Properly and accurately document processes and alert management of processing deviations.
  • Register samples received for lab processing.
