About The Position

Air Liquide Electronics is a world leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals, and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis, a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide Electronics, operates analytical labs globally, serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in industries such as semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense, solar, energy storage, and automotive. Our highly-skilled chemists assist scientists and engineers in quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D, and failure analysis. We are seeking a Laboratory Technician I in our Austin, TX or Taylor, TX location. This role involves running samples daily using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters in a fast-paced, dynamic, and safety-oriented environment. The technician will provide quality data to customers in a timely manner. Responsibilities include sample login and tracking, material and kit handling, hazardous waste disposal, data review, and reporting results. The role also supports the lab team through labware washing, sample transportation, data entry, bottle kit filling, following SOPs, lab cleaning, sample preparation, and sample management using LIMS. Additional duties include analyzing semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay, routine waste disposal, preparing standards for instrument calibration, standardizing titrants, calibrating analytical instruments, and committing to the safe handling of chemicals. Collaboration on results, data quality review, and customer reporting are key. The position also requires submitting quality and safety near misses, staying updated on lab trainings, contributing to continuous improvement, and attending safety meetings.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experiences
  • Able to adapt to teamwork environment
  • Good computer skill
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
  • Holiday and weekend coverage
  • Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
  • Flexible to work night shifts

Responsibilities

  • Running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
  • Sample login and tracking.
  • Material and kit handling.
  • Proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Reviewing data, and reporting results to the customer.
  • Supporting the lab team through labware washing.

  • Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately.
  • Filling bottle kits.
