About The Position

Air Liquide Electronics is a world leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals, and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis. Air Liquide is hiring a Laboratory Technician I in our Austin, TX or Taylor, TX location. Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters. The work is performed in an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment on a safety-oriented team passionate about providing quality data to our customers in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma
  • Able to adapt to teamwork environment
  • Good computer skills
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
  • Holiday and weekend coverage
  • Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
  • Flexible to work night shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Previous lab experience
  • Associate Degree in Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science

Responsibilities

  • Sample login and tracking
  • Material and kit handling
  • Proper disposal of hazardous waste
  • Reviewing data
  • Reporting results to the customer
  • Supporting the lab team through labware washing
  • Transporting samples between labs
  • Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately
  • Filling bottle kits
  • Following SOP's
  • Lab cleaning and organization
  • Sample preparation
  • Sample login and management using LIMS
  • Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay
  • Routine Waste disposal
  • Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration
  • Standardization of titrants
  • Calibration of analytical instruments
  • Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals
  • Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers
  • Submit quality and safety near misses
  • Stay up to date on all lab trainings
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality
  • Attend all Safety Meetings
  • Analyze and gain insights from analytical data
