About The Position

Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis. Air Liquide is hiring a Laboratory Technician I in our Austin, TX or Taylor, TX location. Our Laboratory Technicians are responsible for running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters. The work is performed in an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment on a safety-oriented team passionate about providing quality data to our customers in a timely manner.

Requirements

HS Diploma
Able to adapt to teamwork environment
Good computer skills
Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture
Holiday and weekend coverage
Flexible to work OT as needed during staffing shortages
Flexible to work night shifts

Nice To Haves

Previous lab experience
Associate Degree in Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar Science

Responsibilities

Sample login and tracking
Material and kit handling
Proper disposal of hazardous waste
Reviewing data
Reporting results to the customer
Supporting the lab team through labware washing
Transporting samples between labs
Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately
Filling bottle kits
Following SOP's
Lab cleaning and organization
Sample preparation
Sample login and management using LIMS
Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay
Routine Waste disposal
Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration
Standardization of titrants
Calibration of analytical instruments
Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals
Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers
Submit quality and safety near misses
Stay up to date on all lab trainings
Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality
Attend all Safety Meetings
Analyze and gain insights from analytical data
