To learn more, visit www.hallstar.com . Let’s Work Wonders The Opportunity We are currently in search of a Lab Technician to join our Industrial team in Bedford Park, IL. This role reports to the QC Supervisor. The position schedule includes 12-hour NIGHT shifts (5 pm - 5 am) , including every other weekend.

Requirements

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related degree and experience in analysis of organics (wet chemistry, chromatography and spectroscopy).
Applied knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
Exhibit time management skills to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of hazardous materials and the appropriate handling and disposal of such products preferred.

Responsibilities

Basic knowledge of wet chemistry techniques (academic or professional).
Train under the supervision of a qualified Quality Control Analyst.
Prepare, test, and report results for materials at various stages of the manufacturing process according to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including in-process samples, incoming raw materials, and finished products.
Develop a thorough understanding of chemical testing equipment and processes.
Apply knowledge and experience in math skills, analysis, and operation of lab equipment.
Accurately document test results in logs and data systems.
Practice good laboratory and safety techniques.
Clean and maintain laboratory glassware.
Keep the laboratory area clean and organized.
