About The Position

This is an onsite role requiring 5 days per week in Auburn Hills, MI. Responsibilities Reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to provide support for testing activities. Evaluates laboratory support activity results and may review data for conformance with specifications.. Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed. Responds to user requests to repair and/or modify existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures. As applicable, records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms as the record of laboratory support activities. May plan laboratory support activities, and evaluate results, as directed. Performs routine maintenance on existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures using established procedures. Ensures both new and existing test systems meet safety requirements and compliance with the local laws. Designs and builds test fixtures. Read and follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in laboratory equipment maintenance, manufacturing equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or similar.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience preferred.

Benefits

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000-67,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.
  • This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary.
  • This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
  • We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
