About The Position

ProHealth Care Laboratory Services is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for the Core Lab at Waukesha Memorial. This is a full-time position with day shifts. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually and operates state-of-the-art facilities covering a wide range of clinical testing areas including Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care also has a vibrant outreach program serving numerous external facilities. Pathologists and PhDs collaborate with lab employees to ensure quality and implement new technology. The laboratory holds certifications and accreditations from CAP, AABB, and CLIA.

Requirements

Currently licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician required due to bench assignments.
MT or MLT with supervisory and technical experience preferred.
Team player, organized, self-starter.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of College of American Pathologists (CAP) regulatory requirements.
ASCP MT/MLS or ASCP MLT or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelors degree required.

Responsibilities

Directing and coordinating the daily operations and workflow for a defined department within ProHealth Care Laboratories.
Planning, coordinating, assessing, and adjusting patient and/or specimen flow.
Supervising departmental personnel, budget, and productivity.
Working as part of the laboratory leadership team to transform organizational goals and values into everyday practice.
Ensuring a culture of patient safety in accordance with ProHealth Care philosophies, policies, and procedures.
Ability to work at various ProHealth Care Lab locations as needed.
