About The Position

Supervises the functions of a department section, including training and supervising staff. Ensures that laboratory procedures are approved, performed correctly, and reported properly. Responsible for improvements, quality of apparatus, equipment, and materials. Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties to provide optimal laboratory services to patients. Supervises staff and holds them accountable for reliable patient laboratory results. Responsibilities include payroll, scheduling, budgetary restraints, and inventory control. Must qualify under CLIA as a technical supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Life Sciences with 26 science credits with appropriate experience in a CLIA laboratory Required
• 3 years experience in clinical laboratory Required

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree Preferred
• General Experience supervising in a clinical laboratory Preferred
• Amer Soc Clinical Pathology Preferred
