Laboratory Supervisor
About The Position
Supervises multiple Laboratory sections. Supervises employees and workload. Performs and monitors technical procedures and equipment. Develops employees through evaluations and performance improvement. Enforces department and hospital policies. Provides direct and indirect patient care in a hospital setting. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patients’ clinical laboratory test results. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in testing environment. Educates employees on new procedures as needed; interactions with patients and family member result in patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Current Tennessee Laboratory License
- 3 years medical laboratory experience
- State of Tennessee General Supervisors License
Nice To Haves
- ASCP or NCA Certification preferred
