About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor to join our team in Dublin, OH. This role involves preparing laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacking and routing specimens, accurately identifying and labeling them, packing and shipping them to proper testing facilities, and performing data entry of patient information. The position requires meeting department activity and production goals, properly preparing and storing excess specimen samples, and resolving and documenting any problem specimens.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blind test

Nice To Haves

• 3 months of specimen processing experience or more
• 3 months of medical or laboratory experience or more

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
• Accurately identify and label specimens
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Meet department activity and production goals
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
