Laboratory Specimen Processor I- Shift 1 (Sign On Bonus)
About The Position

This full-time role is located in Austin, TX 78728, with Shift 1 hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. The company offers a sign-on bonus and is benefits-eligible. In this role, you will be responsible for opening and verifying shipper sample types, completing specimen receipt logs, forwarding problem samples/orders to exception handling, identifying issues with orders, labeling, and specimens, and aliquoting samples. An end-of-shift checklist includes ensuring benches, staging and archiving units, shippers, and biohazard bins are in order.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification with High School Diploma
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Typing proficiency, including 10-key
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in a biological science or certification in a medical program technologist program
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Data entry experience in a laboratory production environment
Responsibilities
- Open and verify check shipper sample types and ensure empty
- Complete Specimen receipt logs
- Forward problem samples/orders to exception handling
- Identify Issues (Ordering, Labeling, Specimen)
- Aliquot samples
- Complete end of shift checklist: benches, staging and archiving units, shippers, biohazard bins
