In this role, you will be responsible for opening and verifying shipper sample types, completing specimen receipt logs, forwarding problem samples/orders to exception handling, identifying issues (Ordering, Labeling, Specimen), aliquoting samples, shipping to other Referral Labs, and performing data entry.
Requirements
- Associate Degree or Phlebotomy Certification with High School Diploma
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Typing proficiency, including 10-key
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in a biological science or certification in a medical program technologist program
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Data entry experience in a laboratory production environment
Responsibilities
- Open and verify check shipper sample types and ensure empty
- Complete Specimen receipt logs
- Specimen Receipt and forward problem samples/orders to exception handling
- Identify Issues (Ordering, Labeling, Specimen)
- Aliquoting of samples
- Shipping to other Referral Labs
- Data Entry
