  • Minimum Associate’s degree in a science-related field OR High School diploma with some college science coursework and 1 year of relevant Lab Technician experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the online sample analysis request program, log incoming samples, and match them to analysis requests.
  • Analyze samples using Neogen’s test kits, following kit instructions and specific customer or sales requests.
  • Generate and analyze data from various laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation.
  • Calibrate analytical instruments and ensure all lab equipment is ISO-compliant.
  • Perform tasks essential to maintaining ISO Certification.
  • Participate in sample proficiency programs such as FGIS/GIPSA, FAPAS, and AOCS.
  • Conduct minor repairs on laboratory equipment.
  • Assist the Reference Material Department with sample preparation, testing, and weighing of reference materials.
  • Tabulate and graph data, preparing technical reports for senior personnel.
  • Participate in kit validations for agencies, including FGIS/GIPSA, AOAC, and others.
