About The Position

As a Laboratory Service Engineer at Lam, you will maintain and upgrade equipment in an applications lab and contribute to concept and feasibility hardware for current and next-generation semiconductor equipment. The role involves hands-on work with state-of-the-art equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, installation, and documentation. You will support R&D activities, customer demonstrations, and prototype equipment in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years of experience; or an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military training and 4+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent work experience.
Ability to safely handle hazardous gas and liquid materials using required personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical, fluidic, and vacuum systems.
Proficiency with hand tools and electronic test equipment for maintenance, repair, and assembly tasks.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing personal protective equipment or a cleanroom suit.
Semiconductor industry experience or understanding of Lam products.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment in an R&D environment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum equipment.
Safely handle hazardous gas and liquid materials using required personal protective equipment.
Partner with process development, hardware, and software engineering teams on R&D activities, customer demonstrations, and equipment support.
Install and support prototype equipment, and develop procedures and documentation.
Communicate proactively and maintain alignment on priorities across tasks.
