About The Position
We are looking for a dependable part-time laboratory safety monitor to be present during scheduled chemical processing sessions. The monitor does not perform any chemistry but may assist with characterization of samples. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge battery research and be part of a team driving innovation in advanced materials development.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable in a laboratory environment
- Able to complete required safety training (provided and coordinated by the company)
- No Experience Required Beyond Basic Lab Familiarity
Nice To Haves
- A University of Washington student (graduate or undergraduate) already approved to work at WCET/CEI.
Responsibilities
- Be present in the lab for the duration of scheduled sessions
- Complete a brief institutional safety training before the first session
- Know the location of emergency supplies and basic emergency response steps
- Sign the session attendance log
