About The Position
Student research assistant will be responsible for conducting laboratory tasks including isolating DNA from freshwater fish tissue samples, preparing reagents, conducting PCR, DNA sequencing and other routine lab tasks.
Requirements
- Able to work 15-20 hours a week
- Able to work independently once trained
- High level of motivation
- Ability to keep and maintain accurate laboratory records
Nice To Haves
- Seeking a degree in Biology
- Interest in conservation biology/genetics
- Laboratory experience is preferred but not essential
