This role involves performing routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. The technician will be responsible for sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, recording and reporting, and instrument maintenance. The position requires adherence to GMP/GLP, environmental health and safety, and quality assurance standards. The technician will work under close supervision using routine and standard methods, and will be trained on complex instrumentation.

Requirements

• Required Minimum High School Diploma
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor in a science, with lab work, preferred.
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
• Comfortable with Math and Statistics a plus

Responsibilities

• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Calculating data
• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with Eurofins environmental health safety and Quality assurance standards
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained and competent on complex instrumentation including but not limited to gas chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument specific data systems.
• Works under close supervision using routine and standard methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
