About The Position

This is a full-time, first shift position with weekend and holiday rotation required. In consultation with the laboratory manager and appropriate department supervisors, coordinates and facilitates the daily activities listed; performs quality control, monitoring instrument function and maintenance, assures the accuracy and timeliness of test results, and performs laboratory tests in an assigned department, following approved policies/procedures. Works with the Point of Care Coordinator and also fills a role within the clinical and microbiology departments as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological; OR associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training as required by 42CFR493.1489(b).

Nice To Haves

• Certification with ASCP, AMT, or one of the national registering bodies is preferred.
