About The Position

Tentamus North America is seeking a Media Technician to join their Nova Biologicals team in Conroe, Texas. This full-time, onsite position involves preparing and sterilizing culture media for laboratory functions, maintaining media stock, and recording data in compliance with regulatory standards such as GLP/NELAP/TNI and ISO 17025. The technician will also be responsible for autoclaving and disposing of biohazardous waste, cleaning glassware, and performing general laboratory maintenance. The role requires precision, dedication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet changing laboratory needs.

Requirements

Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely, without restriction or sponsorship
BS in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or related science field
Good working knowledge of laboratory terminology
Experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably an analytical setting
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Strong interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills
Knowledge of LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Strong familiarity with Aseptic technique preferred

Responsibilities

Media preparation and sterilization while following aseptic techniques
Keep Media stocked, rotated, and properly labeled to ensure and maintain media integrity
Maintain and record data while following protocols in relation to regulatory standards such as GLP/NELAP/TNI and ISO 17025
Autoclave and dispose of laboratory bio hazardous trash produced
Cleaning and sterilizing glassware and supplies
Execute projects and any additional duties as assigned to meet changing laboratory needs and requirements
Perform general maintenance to ensure upkeep of laboratory
