About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Lab Manager for its Caleb Brett team in Corpus Christi, TX. This role is on-site and offers an opportunity to build a career in the Inspection and Lab Testing business within the ATIC Industry. Intertek Caleb Brett specializes in Cargo inspection and analytical assessment services for the oil and gas, chemical, and commodities markets, boasting a global network and over 130 years of customer service. The company is dedicated to reducing risk and providing Total Quality Assurance. The Laboratory Manager will oversee Quality Management, Health, Safety, Environmental Compliance, Legal and Ethical Compliance, and Training.

Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong Leadership skills
Ability to lead and motivate employees to actively support the objectives of the laboratory
Organized with time management skills
Experience in handling chemical and petroleum products
Protocol, procedure and safety oriented
Understand the significance of the data generated by test methods
3-5 year minimum, specifically in GC lab experience, is required
Valid Driver's License with reliable driving record is required
Minimum one year of managerial experience within a petroleum laboratory
Minimum Five (5) years of hands-on working experience in a petroleum laboratory

Nice To Haves

A college degree in chemistry from an accredited college or university is a plus!

Render to clients an accurate, rapid, and efficient testing service of indisputable integrity
Provide adequate supervision of testing and review of results
Ensure that adequate calibrated equipment and trained personnel are available for all jobs
Perform Laboratory employee performance, maintains discipline and recommends hiring and dismissal
Seek new business

Set a positive example for all employees through your professional behavior and foster a professional atmosphere
Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Management System, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy
