About The Position

Center for Reproductive Medicine (CRM) is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead their andrology and embryology teams. This leadership role involves hands-on embryology expertise combined with operational oversight, quality management, regulatory compliance, and team development. The manager will collaborate with physicians, laboratory leadership, and executive teams to ensure exceptional laboratory performance, outstanding patient outcomes, and a culture of collaboration and innovation. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position located on-site in Minneapolis, MN, with travel to the St. Paul, MN location also required. Weekends and holidays may be necessary based on laboratory needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about reproductive science, mentorship, operational excellence, and advancing fertility care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Science, Chemical Science, Physical Science, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on embryology experience in a SART-registered, CLIA-approved IVF laboratory
  • Experience in high-volume fertility programs with: 700+ annual oocyte retrievals and 500+ annual embryo biopsy cases
  • Expertise in clinical embryology, andrology laboratory operations, and quality systems
  • Strong knowledge of CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, FDA, and SART standards
  • Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • 2–3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience mentoring and developing laboratory staff
  • Strong quality management and process improvement background
  • EHR superuser or laboratory systems experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of embryology, andrology, and cryostorage services
  • Ensure laboratory protocols, quality standards, and workflows support excellence in patient care
  • Perform advanced embryology procedures and maintain competency across andrology functions
  • Monitor laboratory equipment, QC programs, cryostorage systems, and inventory management
  • Partner with physicians and leadership to improve efficiency, throughput, and patient satisfaction
  • Serve as the primary liaison for laboratory vendors and operational partners
  • Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary laboratory team
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, onboarding, and competency development
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching conversations, and ongoing professional development
  • Create opportunities for mentorship and bench-side learning
  • Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, FDA, HIPAA, and SART requirements
  • Lead inspection readiness activities, self-inspections, and corrective action plans
  • Maintain quality assurance and proficiency testing programs
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements
  • Maintain laboratory policies, procedures, and documentation standards
