Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field required
  • Minimum of five (5) years of laboratory experience, including at least two (2) years in a management or supervisory role
  • Experience managing analytical or testing laboratory operations in environmental, energy, or related industries
  • Skilled in leading and developing teams and driving process and performance improvements
  • Knowledge of QA/QC programs, audits, and regulatory standards
  • Proficient in LIMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with EPA, ASTM, API, and Standard Methods
  • Safety and environmental compliance certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Supervise, train, and develop laboratory staff to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and technical excellence
  • Oversee QA/QC programs and data review to ensure analytical integrity and adherence to quality standards
  • Manage personnel, equipment, and resources to optimize productivity and achieve operational goals
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, environmental, and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Project Management to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and quality procedures in alignment with company and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely completion of corrective actions
  • Identify and implement process improvements and new technologies to enhance performance
  • Monitor key performance metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and alignment with business objectives
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the laboratory
  • Perform other duties as assigned
