About The Position

Under general supervision, performs routine to moderately difficult laboratory procedures to support water quality laboratory functions; cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes glassware and equipment; prepares media and reagents; assists in the laboratory's quality assurance program; and performs related duties as assigned. The ideal candidate for this position is a current college student enrolled in an undergraduate degree program related to Life and/or Environmental Sciences.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or a closely related field
  • Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Available to work up to 25 hours weekly
  • A valid Nevada driver’s license
  • Legal right to work in the US, including authorization to work off-campus
  • Must attach resume, letter of intent, most recent school schedule, and unofficial transcript in application
