Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst
About The Position
Vancouver Clinic is hiring a Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Analyst. The LIS Analyst supports and maintains the Clinical Laboratories’ information systems, including Epic Beaker, interfaced lab systems, middleware, and in-house applications. This role helps ensure accurate test builds, reliable instrument interfaces, regulatory compliance, and smooth workflow integration across clinical pathology, anatomic pathology, and phlebotomy. This position works closely with laboratory staff, leadership, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, support upgrades and implementations, optimize workflows, and provide end user support and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Professional certification MT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent required.
- EPIC BEAKER certification required.
- Two years of experience in the following areas: Laboratory Information System and Middle Ware administration (Beaker, Data Innovations) required.
- Knowledge of Laboratory Operations, including instrument interfacing and lab billing required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Bridges Interface certified preferred.
- Degree in Computer Science related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supporting LIS applications, interfaces, and instrument connectivity
- Managing test builds, LOINC mapping, CPT billing setup, and result files
- Troubleshooting complex system and interface issues
- Participating in upgrades, validations, and integration projects
- Supporting reporting, workflow improvements, and billing resolution
- Providing training and consultation to end users
