About The Position

Under general supervision, the Laboratory Coordinator I/II serves as an essential operational and administrative partner to the Senior Laboratory Coordinator (SLC) within Zachry Common Labs. In this role, the candidate assists with daily, multi-floor laboratory logistics and oversight of lab operations under the direction of the Senior Laboratory Coordinator. The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic support and managing institutional documentation. The successful candidate will apply standard engineering and scientific techniques to support the teaching, research, and Service Center operations of Zachry Common Labs. The Laboratory Coordinator functions as part of a collaborative team; the specific focus of your role will complement the existing group expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience (for Laboratory Coordinator I).
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience (for Laboratory Coordinator II).
  • High School diploma with 5 years of related experience or associate’s degree with 3 years of related experience (for Laboratory Coordinator I).
  • High School diploma with 6 years of related experience or associate’s degree with 4 years of related experience (for Laboratory Coordinator II).
  • Must comply with lab safety PPE requirements.
