Laboratory Control Analyst
About The Position
Responsible for the routine testing of chemical products and process samples in order to meet safety, production, quality and environmental standards. Perform routine testing of finished products, in-process and raw material samples utilizing the following methods/techniques: wet chemistry, UV-VIS, FTIR, particle size, Microtrac, GC, ICP, BET, and XRD. Calibrate lab equipment, standardize reagents, and analyze reference samples. Make sample pick-ups, maintain & distribute sample containers. Calculate test results, prepare & distribute analytical reports. Moderate physical exertion – up to 60% of time spent walking, standing, climbing, bending or stooping.
Requirements
- Reading, writing and math skills comparable to a high school education.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an inorganic analytical laboratory.
- Good analytical skills.
- Experience with computer software and spreadsheets.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of college chemistry.
