About The Position
We are seeking a Laboratory Associate I to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, California. Job Summary: Perform routine laboratory testing procedures to generate accurate and reliable data in support of clinical trials research, while adhering to SOPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; some CAP/CLIA laboratories may require a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology
- Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, equipment, and instrumentation
- Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and applicable regulatory standards
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Ability to follow detailed procedures while maintaining accurate and complete documentation
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to work within laboratory information systems
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders
- Understanding of laboratory safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical handling practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints).
- Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
- Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine analysis of specimens and accurately document results in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines
- Evaluate analytical results against laboratory system algorithms to ensure data validity
- Identify, document, and escalate potential errors or unusual results to senior laboratory personnel
- Prepare buffers and solutions required for laboratory analyses
- Support post‑analysis sample and reagent storage in compliance with procedures
- Assist with laboratory housekeeping activities in alignment with 6S standards
- Notify appropriate staff of supply shortages and support inventory awareness
