Laboratory Assistant - PRN
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This PRN position involves working 2 shifts per a 6-week schedule, with the possibility of working more if needed. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens. The role assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks, aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies, and may be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. The position ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
