Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• No certification or previous experience required for Laboratory Assistant role
• Active phlebotomy certification required for Senior Laboratory Assistant role
• Bachelor's degree required in biology or related subject for Pathology Technician role

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
• Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of laboratory data
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall laboratory operations
• Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens
• Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
• Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies
• May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results
