Laboratory Assistant
About The Position

Responsibilities include outpatient registration, test ordering, processing laboratory specimens, performing hospital and outpatient phlebotomy, handling customer service calls, providing efficient courier services, and other assigned customer service duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Efficient keyboarding skills.
- Experience with Lab and Hospital information systems is desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- When assigned Phlebotomist duties: Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification licensure filed with WA State DOH after completion of OMC phlebotomy training within 90 days of hire, required.
- When assigned courier duties: Valid Washington driver’s license required.
- Driving record in compliance with OMC standards currently in effect or as may be amended, required.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service and courier service to patients served by Olympic Medical Center Laboratory.
- Responsible for outpatient registration, test ordering, processing of outpatient laboratory specimens.
- Perform hospital and outpatient phlebotomy.
- Answer customer service calls.
- Provide efficient courier services.
- Perform other customer service responsibilities as assigned.
