About The Position
We are seeking a Laboratory Assistant as a Casual employee/trainee to assist in laboratory duties and techniques. The goal is to conduct and learn drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic studies of novel glutamine antagonists and D4 receptor ligands and LC/MS/MS bioanalysis techniques on novel analogs of dendrimer conjugated nsmase2 inhibitors.
Requirements
- High school diploma/graduation equivalent

- Some lab experience
- Strong scientific background with an emphasis on drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
Responsibilities
- Perform experiments to understand solubility, metabolism and pharmacokinetics of the novel glutamine antagonist prodrugs.
- Conducting and measuring aqueous solubility studies of the novel prodrugs.
- Learn bioanalysis techniques on different tissues (plasma, brain, GI) following oral/iv administration of the compounds.
- Conduct in vitro experiments to evaluate stability of the compounds.
- Prepare reports for the work conducted.
- Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
