This role involves assisting in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks, including preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. The position may be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results, ensuring the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

No certification or previous experience required for Laboratory Assistant role.
Active phlebotomy certification required for Senior Laboratory Assistant role.
Bachelor's degree required in biology or related subject for Pathology Technician role.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens and related supplies in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines
Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of laboratory data
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members
Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall laboratory operations
Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.
