Laboratory Assistant
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. 32nd & Ellis is a fast paced environment with several departments including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women's/OB and Acute Care. This position will preferably have weekend availability, and can accommodate weekday additional hours as desired. Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.
- May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a formal phlebotomy program
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience in a laboratory-related field preferred

- Collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens
- Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks
