Laboratory Assistant Technical
About The Position
As our Laboratory Technical Assistant, you will receive, process, and prepare patient specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. You will assist medical technologists with various tasks, maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment. Every day you will perform clerical duties such as data entry, answering phones, and managing incoming and outgoing lab reports. You will also be responsible for maintaining supply inventory, ordering new materials, and ensuring equipment is functioning correctly. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a solid understanding of specimen handling and laboratory safety protocols. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with all lab personnel to support accurate and timely test results.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent customer service and time management skills

Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy program certificate

- Six (6) months experience in an acute care facility
