About The Position
Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a lab assistant/phlebotomist for our busy lab.
Requirements
- HS Diploma.
- Completion of Phlebotomy coursework.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
- Computer skills & customer service skills needed.
Nice To Haves
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
- CMA with phlebotomy experience or MLT.
Responsibilities
- Collection, preparation and transport of specimens for laboratory testing.
- Perform EKGs.
- Release orders for lab collections.
- Collect blood & urine samples.
- Receive orders.
- Perform drug screens (training required).
- Perform breath alcohol testing (training required).
