About The Position

The Laboratory Assistant PDI is responsible for receiving, processing and distributing specimens within the laboratory, as well as the operation of anticipated laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• One (1) year of specimen processing experience within the past year or equivalent.
• High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
• Graduation from Phlebotomist Tech training program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Be a team player
• ability to operate lab equipment and proficient in human venipuncture techniques.
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• excellent critical thinking judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) or more years of experience within the department’s setting, preferably within the past three years.
• Completion of some college level courses.
• Cert Phlebotomist Tech 1
