About The Position

Carnegie Mellon University's Ray and Stephanie Lane Computational Biology Department (CBD) is seeking a Laboratory Assistant III to support their interdisciplinary research. This role will involve monitoring and maintaining laboratory automation equipment, training users, assisting with protocol development, preparing samples, and supporting students. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree degree required
1-3 years of technical experience with laboratory automation equipment
1-3 years of laboratory experience in molecular biology
Strong problem-solving, reasoning, communication, and organization skills
Successful completion of pre-employment background check

Responsibilities

Monitoring and performing routine maintenance on laboratory automation equipment
Providing training on equipment use
