About The Position
Now Hiring: Laboratory Assistant II Schedule: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Weekends as needed. Holiday rotation required. Every Weekend (Saturday & Sunday) Weekdays as Needed Holiday Rotation Required Are you looking to gain hands-on laboratory experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment? Join Orlando Health as a Laboratory Assistant II – PRN and play a vital role in supporting patient care through specimen processing, patient registration, laboratory operations, and customer service.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of laboratory or patient care experience OR Current student pursuing a science-related degree or certification (Nursing, Medical Technology, Pre-Med, or related clinical field)
Responsibilities
- Receive and process laboratory specimens
- Register patients and enter physician orders
- Label, aliquot, store, and transport samples
- Support pathology specimen processing
- Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Assist with scheduling and report distribution
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Support quality improvement and regulatory compliance
