Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, the incumbent will perform molecular and cellular biology experiments which include PCR, reverse transcription, molecular cloning, tissue culture, splicing analysis, gel electrophoresis, Western blots, transfection, and microscopy. Direct mouse handling may be involved. Attention to details and good communication and organization skills are required. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced team environment is necessary.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience or biological sciences

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in quantitative skills
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Good familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel packages
  • Ability to handle and perform routine molecular biology experiments
  • Molecular and cell biology skills including cell culture, cloning, RT-PCR, etc.
